Hi,

I am looking for a proper thunderbolt 3 or 4 or USB-C which has a long cable, provides Displayport 1.4, one 4k 60Hz HDMI, some USB ports and a LAN connector. Couldn't find any with a long cable.

Then I do not understand the USB-C powering port, which these devices often provide. Does it mean that a USB-C power adapter is mandatory? I use a Macbook Pro 16 2021 (M1 pro).

Found these devices, both with very short cables:

It should not exceed 150 euro...

Thanks for any hint.

I'm sorry to tell you that you aren't going to find the exact combination that you are looking for, and especially not for anywhere near the price that you are looking for. First off, more than a couple of USB-C ports is going to require the device to have an additional chipset, which will really cause the price to climb.

The closest that I've seen is this excellent Plugable hub:

A high priced option:

Since cable length effects performance, you aren't going to find a hub with a long cable. If you need it to have a longer cable you will have to get a USB extender cable.

Thanks! So do you think that using such an extender cable will affect the performance of the hub/dp/usb? Or the powering over the notebook?

I'm afraid so. I haven't tested it personally, but articles I've read make it clear that your choice of cable and cable length is extremely important with Thunderbolt 3 and 4.

From:
https://appleinsider.com/articles/2...nderbolt-usb-c----everything-you-need-to-know

"...not all Thunderbolt 3 cables are equal. With Thunderbolt 3, short, passive cables are capable of 40 gigabits per second, with long and passive cables only capable of 20 gigabits per second. For full speed on those longer runs, you need an active cable. And, max charging power may vary depending on the manufacturer."
