can someone help me out?

I have alot of AVI files that I want to stream to my XBOX 360 using connect 360.

I need to convert the AVI files to mpeg4, when I open up handbrake and select a file I get this grayed out screen:

Im guessing that all of the options should not be grayed out? - any advice would be appreciated!

Cheers,

Shane

Have you added a source file/disc? Click on Source in the upper left corner and select the file that needs to be converted or the disc you want to rip.

I've never tried converting anything using Handbrake. I thought it was only for ripping discs...

Yup I've added a source. But the source is a .avi file on my Mac.

Any other suggestions on how I could get this to mpeg4 as soon as possible?

Handbrake is for converting DVDs ONLY, not converting existing files.

Use either iSquint (Free) or Visual Hub (not Free) to convert this file.

Yea, I just found that out. I've only used it to rip DVDs and never tried to convert a file using Handbrake, so I didn't know if it would work or not. Thanks for clearing that up.

Thanks for that - seems to have done the job. :D
