All
just an update.
A 500Gb Hard drive in my G5 (PowerMac7,2 1.8 GHz single used as a file server to store pictures) failed last week, so iv'e replaced it with a new 3Tb Seagate 7200rpm from Ebuyer (first class service) in the UK.
Drive fitted no problem (I must get some of those fancy screws to hole the drive in place).
Normally the machine needs 5 to 10 attempts to restart but this time it booted first time and after disk utility did its stuff I now have 2.73Tb of storage.
So as it copies 400Gb from a USB drive i have time for a glass of red and some surfing
Simon
just thought now my NAS is not big enough :-(
