OS X install hangs on destination disk

Hi Kev,

I had to replace the HD in the end. But it didn't cost as much as i thought Only £75. And the costumer service at apple store was excellent. I give 10/10. Plus they let me keep my old Hd which is good as i can destroy it myself if i want.

No worries. Glad you got it sorted, and I agree the price wasn't bad, though replacing HD's is fairly straightforward on Macbooks I believe. I wonder if Apple knew they would fail so soon, and therefore made it easier than laptops of old (like this Powerbook!)
There does seem to be far too many fairly new machines with dead HD's.
