Nope it's my pc, i dont own a mac..YET. Wasn't trying to pass it off as one, it's just customized in windowblinds with a different color scheme and new icons to match.

How do you guys manage to display a name on the top-tight corner of the menu bar? Been doing a search but to no luck....

Thanks, iSheep. No wonder why I never found it. I only have one user set up.
Guess I will set up one, but wonder how much disk space will be taken up.

doesn't root count as an account? i never needed 2 accounts set up to have it display my name

if i type uptime in terminal it says theres 2 accounts, but theres only my one in accounts pref

In that case, try just turning Fast User Switching on and see if that works.

Is the 2nd hidden account like a sort-of-template account? Under Windows 4.1 and 5.x systems you have three users if you only have one 'user' user. All Users (shared crap), Default User (template) and Your User Name (all your stuff).

This is the custimization thread, so, I ask you.

I know you can get a taskbar for Mac OS 9, but is there a prog for Mac OS X yet?

Here is my current setup. Nothing too special or custumized. The wallpaper is a picture I took at the Wilco concert. And I'm using Konfabulator...getting ready for dashboard...but they always have that stupid pop up until you register..and it friggin costs $25.
