Yep, I used the ADC, the Student one, so you get a 1 time 20% off discount. Only 100 dollars for a year, plus you get Leopard free, so it pays for itself. He used the ADC program; I think.

Yes, you HAVE to pay the 1 year $100 fee for the student developer program. The requirement for the discount is you must be IN college, and 18 or over. (My brother is both) To show that you are a student, you email them a copy of your schedule and your license. You DO NOT have to have any computer classes on your schedule.
If you are using the regular student discount, you can just go into the apple store and show them your schedule and your ID. But if you are in the ASDC, you have to do everything online because the apple store's inventory doesn't include the computers sold through the ADC.I wish I knew this sooner, I could have saved a few hundred. Oh well. Question on proving you're a college student, Is it possible to go into your local Apple store and show them your schedule?
... With the regular student discount, the deal is pretty good, but the deals are unlimited in use, and you get a free iPod. No OS though. So each program has its ups and downs.
