Definitely somehow call Apple though, even if it seems to be running OK now, and even if Disk Utility repairs some stuff. Put your case as "it's freezing periodically!" not past tense "it froze and now it's OK"

Worst case, you can always ship it to Apple. It might cost you, but better than it gets out of warranty and you're stuck with weird problems.

I will definitely do that, Head Unit, it does worry me that things can fail completely one day over the limit. I think manufacturers' call it 'planned obsolescence' - but then I am cynical.
