New VZW iPhone owners - accidental damage insurance

This is probably a silly question... but what happens if you have SquareTrade and your phone is lost/stolen? That isn't covered under ST. I'd like to get the ST coverage but am worried about losing my phone or it getting stolen.. Is there another way to get this coverage but not pay Verizon's exorbitant fees + deductible?

You are correct. I missed it when I bought it, but it doesn't cover against loss or theft.

I've never lost a phone or had one stolen before. I'm usually very conscientious about it, so I'm not too concerned about it. It was the thought of dropping it or having it exposed to water that was my primary worry.
