You didn't use your Apple Watch? :p

It probably takes him too long to figure out which one to use, and the event is over by the time the stopwatch option Is set up on the Apple Watch to watch or time. :laugh :giggle

Great. I have been doing other things but it is now back to normal and definitely much more usable. Thank you.

Yes, I tried, but it's pretty hard to beat a "real" stopwatch. ;) And, it only takes one hand.

You're right about a real stopwatch. I can remember years ago when I was helping to coach a junior football team my son was on, I used a stopwatch to time the youngsters when they were doing running exercises.

I was in a lot better shape back in those days! Don't need a stopwatch to time my running, an hourglass would work better. :goofy

I'm still getting the "Oops!" error across devices on a regular basis but this morning I found a workaround I didn't know existed.
I might have missed this before but I don't think so. This morning I was replying to a thread on my iPhone. I attempted to send my reply and received the dreaded "Oops!' notification so after a couple of repeated failures I copied my reply (to clipboard) on the phone and went to the post on MF's on my MBP. I scrolled down to the bottom to reply and suddenly I received a notification text box on my MBP, "Pasting from Rod's iPhone SE". So I put my cursor in the reply box and clicked Command + V and the copied text from my iPhone was pasted into the reply box on my MBP.
Now, I have always had Handoff running but I have never seen it do something like this.
Has iOS 14.3 improved this function or is it something new? Copy an Paste across devices is very handy have I been missing this feature? It's certainly the first time I've been notified.

I think that is more a function of the board than anything Apple has done. The current software holds the draft post for a while, so when you drafted a post on the iPhone and then logged into the board on the Mac, it updated the draft you had made on the iPhone to show you on the Mac, but not copying from the iPhone, just what was being saved as a draft on the board itself. Maybe a MOD can confirm that, but that's what I have seen.

@Rod:

Jake is correct in that the draft message is kept in the boards memory and can be recalled with time limits. I believe if you log off and then back on the draft is removed but am not sure of that. Nick can verify if that's true or not.

Yes, I was sort of aware of that but hadn't needed to use it very often. If I'm just on one device then I normally just copy the text, refresh the page, paste the text and post again but yesterday was the first time I received a notification of text already copied on a different device. In any case now that I'm aware I'll try it more often.

This just came up in another thread but I had noticed it as a change. I just assumed it was universal but maybe not:
The sidebar of Mac-Forums displays member's names and membership status (Admin, Senior Member etc) but nothing else. It used to display devices, but at least for me, no longer does. Is that the same for everyone or is it just me?

Okay, I have checked my preferences; all profile info is there. Added my birthday so that I could save again but no change.
Tried logging out and back in, no change.
Tried Safari, same problem. All info is there when I'm logged out, dissapears when I login (this is for everybody not just me).
Lastly I tried changing appearance from MF Dark to MF Traditional 2.0 and low and behold, profile info is back. This is the same in macOS Safari, Brave and the same browsers on iOS. Further checking confirms that Default style also works fine, it appears to be a problem confined to MF Dark only.
The minute I change to MF Dark everybodies profile info dissapears.

Taken care of...all should be good now. Thanks for bringing this up.:)

Well, really it was Ian's doing. He mentioned his listed devices and I realised he could see them but I couldn't. Just goes to show how distracted I've been the last few weeks. I just thought it was a universal occurrence that would resolve on its own. Thanks Nick and thanks Ian.

Today I'm getting the "Oops..." message when trying to re[;y to a thread.
Tried several times, my reply won't post, all I get is:
Oops! We ran into some problems.
Oops! We ran into some problems. Please try again later. More error details may be in the browser console.

PS: Except this post worked just fine

PPS: Turns out this was the old problem we had before.
There was a smilie in the post I replied to. I quoted part of that post including the smilie.
Got the Oops message
Then I went back (after posting here) and deleted the smilie in the quoted message.
My post now went through.

@krs, I get the same response pretty much every time I try to quote a post with a smiley. Seem to happen a lot with Patrick's posts, but it isn't limited to him. It may be something in the way his smileys are entered.

We have an issue with the replying/quoting of posts that include smilies. You can reply to your own post with smilies, but not others.

We are aware of the issue and are looking to address it.
