Maybe this was the rumored superbowl ad but it definately didn't air during it. I just saw it on comedy central. Mac asks PC something and this big secret service looking guy in a black suit with black sunglasses and earpiece says "mac is trying to communicate with pc, accept or cancel." the secret service guy is supposed to be vista's security. this goes on through out the ad and PC is ashamed of the new security of vista. its not up on apple.com yet but i figure it will be soon

The funny part is that it's so true. Ever since RC1, the User Account Control thing is ALWAYS popping up. It's not so bad on the Mac since it only pops up every once in a while, but with Vista, it's literally every couple of seconds you're hitting that UAC button.

The interesting part is that it just asks you to accept or decline, doesn't ask for your password the way Mac OS X does. Maybe instead of designing it to let you know of every little action taking place on your computer, Microsoft should have tweaked it so only important actions make it pop up, much like how Mac OS X does.

The worst part is that users will look for ways to turn this off and then a large chunk of the security improvements Microsoft is touting will go down the drain.

Hehe.. that was pretty funny.

Btw, who's the "security guy"? He looks kinda familiar (actor or something) but I just can't put my finger on it.

Yeah, the last two lines make the whole thing. The tone of PC's voice when he says "allow" is perfect.

That was hilarious. :flower:

The security guy's voice reminds me of a sports announcer.

I used that last line on a buddy who was using vista. He hadn't even seen the commercial and he punched me in the face. (A sign of love with my friends) That commercial was brilliant.
