Usually, when you find Microsoft Office online for a price that sounds too good to be true, it isn't pirated software.

Usually they are selling what is known as "grey market goods." The licenses were paid for (likely a large bulk purchase with a big discount), but there was a contract with Microsoft not to re-sell them. They are doing it anyhow and this is illegal. If you purchase a grey market version of Office it will likely work perfectly, but if you have any problems (and keep in mind that this product has very effective copy protection), such as needing to transfer it from one computer to another and having it lock, you will be SOL, because Microsoft won't help you with any kind of tech support.

However, I've heard from several users regarding the lastest round of offers for Office 2021, and they say that they contacted Microsoft and this sale is perfectly legitimate. The only minor downside is that a new version of Office is imminent, and I can guaranty you that Microsoft is not going to be offering any sort of free or discounted upgrade to it from the 2021 version.
