Microstation V8i with Parallels

I just upgraded from MicroStation 2004 to V8i, which requires DirectX. I'm running Windows 7 on my iMac using Parallels. I'm not familiar with DirectX, but when I open my MicroStation V8i, Windows crashes. Thanks for any wisdom.

I don't know what the requirements are for running Microstation V8i but if it needs the latest or a late version of DirectX, it won't run in Parallels. You'll need to do some homework on that probably by going to the Parallels forum and finding out. But off hand, I'm thinking you may need to run that program using Boot Camp where you would have the full DirectX capability available.
