2017 MacBook Pro. Just recently my messages fail to send. I can send messages to myself to my phone and they send fine. Messages from my iPhone send no problem. There must be a setting that I've inadvertently changed or turned off, but I don't know what or where it could be. I've turned my computer off/on, quit messages, but still the same problem. I can recive but not send. Any thoughts?

What OS versions? iPhone and MBP? Did you "Sync Now" in Messages > Settings > iMessages?

And by "Messages" do you mean messages in the app "Messages" or emails, which are also called "messages?"

Generally, if it's the Messages App, the fastest recovery is to log out of your AppleID account, and then log back in.

I think this may be an iPhone thing rather than your Mac. See if this article shines any light on the problem;

It seems like Text Message Forwarding on your iPhone is the key.

Looks like you were spot on. I had changed my Apple ID password, which seems to have been the problem. I shut my iPhone off and after I turned it back on I was in business.

Thanks a lot guys...once again you have come thru.
