Hello!
The other day I connected my ipod to the USB port closets to me on my new 13 inch Macbook Pro. A message then popped up when I clicked sync informing me that I had connected my ipod to a slow-speed USB port. I was extremely confused by this message. There had to be something wrong here I told myself. But nope, after poking around in system profiler for a bit i discovered that one of the USB ports was only 12 Mb/sec. The reason for this is that there is a hub that is connected to the trackpad and keyboard as well as the USB port. Not your smartest move huh Apple?
