MacBook Air and dual monitors

I'm currently running a MacBook Air 13" (bought new in spring of 2016), and currently have a ViewSonic monitor connected through the thunderbolt/HDMI adapter. It works great.

But, I want to run a second ViewSonic monitor that I have laying around. So the configuration I want is open MacBook Air (that's my primary screen) with 2 ViewSonic monitors on a stand. Neither have the DisplayPort in and out ports, so I'm restricted to just the HDMI or DVI.

I don't really care if the MacBook sees the two monitors as an extended screen or separate screens. But what's the secret to getting this configuration without spending a bunch of money? I've seen various adapters and such, but too many only allow one monitor to run at a time. I'm not sure the ViewSonics I have allow daisy chaining because they lack the DisplayPorts.

Any suggestions?

Thanks, but I can't get the everymac.com page to load. Is it just down temporarily, or is there another source?

The site is up. I just loaded the page. What happens when you try to load it?

Not sure why it was loading early, but it is now.

This was a very helpful article, thank you. Since this is for my office at work, video lag won't be an issue. There's just several screens I keep open all the time like Messages and Slack, and it would be nice to have those on their own screen and easier to access.

And at less than $50, it's exactly what I was looking for.

Good deal...glad to help.:)

As far as the link loading. It's always possible that the website itself was having issues at the time you tried to visit.

Please let us know what solution you ended up going with...and how things worked out.:)

Nick has requested that I collect his tech support fees on his behalf. If you'll just make a check out to me I'll make sure he gets all of the funds I promise.:):D
