Hold down 'C' after the chime.

Surprised the card works in a PC as flashing to Mac is supposed to change the ROM ~ wonder is it has become mixed up with flashed cards and slipped through the system? As a suggestion, avoid machines sold as bare, no drives etc. Usually they are being sold for parts only. Good luck.

Thank you btw, Now using a PC keyboard what are the key commands to make it boot to the Snow Leopard DVD. I think it is Option/Alt and C for CD.
but I could be mistaken.

Thanks for all your help I will have the final life or death report by tomorrow afternoon, heading down to my friends Mac store where I can mix and match without it costing me.

I have the video card you need, will even send to you first to test then you can send back or purchase for a couple bucks, heck have 10 if needed to solve your your problem, another great tip on the 1.1 replace that CMOS if not already
