Screen shot of friend's iPhone 12 running iOS 14.3. He thinks I'm a genius at this stuff, so please help me keep up the illusion! What is this "No service" in the top left corner about? He can call, text, etc with no problem. Everything works. Full service bars from Verizon.
Your oval covered it up, but I think that is the eSIM showing it's not set up at all. There seems to be something under the upper part of the oval that is probably the Verizon status. If it bothers him to have the eSIM reporting there, he can disable it in Settings/Cellular and see if the empty eSIM is somehow turned on. Turn it off and I think the other line will disappear. I have my Verizon set up in the eSIM and an EE SIM in the SIM slot and turn one off and the other on as I travel (or did, before travel stopped).
