Did you hear it chime 2x before releasing the keys?
Did you restart and do that 3 separate times?
The memory is still out? ;)

The memory is out, although I dont recall hearing it make any noises.. Ill just try the process a few more times to see if anything happens.

Any chimes at all? Is the sound up?
Try holding the option key during startup? Is it still locked?
Double check the post about zapping the Pram.
If its not "beeping", its probably not reseting.

If by zapping the pram you mean touching the metal with my finger, that didnt seem to work either.

This is what we need to do. (hopefully, what you been trying);)
After removing / adding more RAM than before, Turn on the computer and immediately reset PRAM by holding the Command-Option-P-R key combination. Press the keys until you've heard two successive startup sounds. Shutdown, restart, reset PRAM. Do that 3x.
Open Firmware password protection should be now disabled. Shut down the computer and return it to its original RAM configuration.
