My 1 month old iMac 24 died, Apple store repaired by replacing the power unit, logic board and monitor. Yes, it cost them more than I paid; over $2k to fix! When I returned home with the repaired unit I found I no longer have sound. Yes, I made sure it was not muted
I checked the Audio/Midi Setup settings and it does not list a source device (everything is greyed out), the same goes for the system profile. I have searched the web high and low for fixes and can not locate one that works. When I start Garage Band I receive the -10202 error, no sound source.
I am new to Macs and am not impressed so far so I am hoping someone can change my perspective. I was hoping the system would find the device automatically like a PC or that I could install the driver from the Leopard CD, no luck.
