Hello all

Anyone know if i can get a free demo version of iLife '06

After watching the keynote and all the nifty things you can do with the update i'm tempted to upgrade from '04 that came with my iBook, but i'm not sure if i want to actually pay for it yet.

The specs say it'll run on 10.3.9 but it recommends 10.4.4 and the iMovie themes won't run unless i've got 10.4.4. I would like to test how much of an imporvement it'll be seeing as i'm running iBook 1ghz with 10.3.9.

Any suggestions beyond the illegal? (Or could anyone find a valid loophole in the legality issue that allows me to trial?? Fair use??)

Thanks
M

I don't believe there are any trial versions of any of the iLife products.

Not unless you buy a new Mac, in which case you'd get the full version.

I have to say though, the more I have read on iWork and iLife '06 - they are definitely on my priority purchase list and IMHO, the most intresting things released yesterday.

Has anyone found it in the stores yet? I went to the Apple Store in Manhattan and they said they don't expect it for 2 weeks.

It usually takes some time for the stores to get their supplies. They don't want to ship them early and have them arrive early because apple likes to keep as many people in suspense as possible
