Hello,
I have a few movies I downloaded while ago and honestly don’t even remember where i have got it..
Anyway I am planning to travel where I won’t have access to internet. Hence I copied those movies to iPad but I can’t play it. I did the same a few years ago but I forgot how I opened it.
I believe that I used some iPad app to play movie..
Could you please advise me the easiest and simplest way to play my own movies directly from iPad?

This depends on what the type of video files you have. Apple's apps don't support all video types. My entire video library is MKV, for example, and Apple's app won't play those. VLC can play anything you throw at it, and it's free. You would need to add your videos to its own folder on your iPad. See website linked below for a tutorial.
