How to make hard drive partitions in MAC

I have got a new external hard drive for my MAC OS but don't know how to make its partitions, anybody up for a little help.

You can do that with Disk Utility -- which is in the Applications/Utilities folder on your Mac.This guide will give you a good explanation although the look of the screens will vary slightly depending upon which version of OS X you are using.

Hard Drive Partitions in MAC

You can make hard drive partitions in MAC, by selecting disk utility, and then click continue. You will have to select the disk that you want to partition and click Partition. Then choose the number of partitions from the Volume Scheme pop-up menu and click partition and type a name for it, choose a format, and then type a size.
