I don't think there's an official way to do it. You could just delete your credit card information so you won't be charged anything by accident.

If you want to delete iTunes account, follow these steps:

1. Open the iTunes application on your device.
2. Click on “Store” menu on the top of the page.
3. Click “View My Account”.
4. Now click on “Edit Payment Information”.
5. Select “None” and click “Done”.
