I downloaded this for my PowerMac and it is really good, it works even better than it does on my AMD 64 PC!

I found my house and could even identify my car parked out in the road!

Not that I notice, I even tried with the visualizer running and it seemed fine.

I can see my cars in my driveway but I can tell that the picture is several years old by the cars and the fields at the schools near me

I wonder if it could be a NVidia phenomena? I have a ATI 9600 Gfx card and it doesn't seem to skip. What are you doing in Earth when iTunes skips?

Not doing anything really, as soon as the earth appears, iTunes starts slurring..
Maybe it's a core imaging problem though.
(I have an ATI 9200 that doesn't support core imaging)

That would certainly explain it, I tried Earth out on my G4 iMac and it does the same thing, I believe that if an application calls core image and there is no Gfx card in the system that can handle it core image uses the main CPU, as this is a system call it will run at a higher priority than user applications so iTunes is probably being starved of CPU.

My computer supports Core Imaging and iTunes still skips.
