It's working fine here, albeit, I'm checking an hour later. Perhaps it was just a temporary glitch?

Thanks checking trying Bryan.:) Google is still down on my end…so I guess I need to investigate further (reboot, clear cookies, run Onyx, etc.).

Thanks for checking pm-r.:)

I tried a 2nd computer from the same location. Computer #1 doesn't work…computer #2 does. So it seems to be computer related. Time to run Onyx!;)

Hmmm…??? The problem may just be due to any DNS settings differences you have on your Macs or the servers.

I'd question whether Onyx could change of fix that, but I don't think I've ever looked or checked. :)

This sounds like the sort of question a "flat-Earth" believer" might ask of someone suggesting the Earth was round.;)

Are you questioning the validity of the suggestion...or just not sure how Onyx could help?:)

Onyx repairs permissions, deletes cookies, clears caches, etc. Basically a "one pill cures all" sort of thing (sometimes). Onyx is simply a tool. If it doesn't work. Then have to try something else.:)

Nick, if you try to browse to 74.125.226.143, do you get Google? If you do, we'll know if it's a DNS issue (if OnyX worked for you, then you can ignore this).

Bryan...thanks for the idea...no work.:(

I saw someone in the UK posted a thread mentioning they can't get Google either. I also tried a 3rd computer at my location. Two computers cannot get Google & one can. The two computers that cannot get Google are running 10.8...and probably an older version of Safari. The computer that CAN get Google is running 10.10 and probably a newer Safari version.

Also. I just tried running Chrome. And the computers running 10.8 (and probably an older version of Safari) CAN get Google. So it sounds to me that it's a problem with an older version of Safari. Sounds like running Chrome is a solution.:) But Safari with 10.10 seems to be fine.

Nevermind. Google with Chrome is not working either (on computer running 10.8):( Google on Chrome loaded successfully once. Then tried to do a search...and it failed.

Same problem here (north of NYC). I just spoke with Apple Care as I have a PC with no issue at the same time my MacBook Pro (running 10.9.5) is having an issue –*unable to load https://www.google.com/advanced_search or even just google.com. Apple Care said there are numerous reports of issues; said to wait a little while and try back. Issue happened to "self-resolve" during call only to recur 5 minutes after call.

AC did say there is no known virus involved on the Mac side. Issue is "out there" somewhere, it seems.

Cheers! ~kgo81

Thanks kgo81. It definitely seems to be a "Google Problem". Guess we'll have to wait until Google figures it out. Meanwhile…I'm stuck using Yahoo.com!;)

I and my wife have been having Google Mail problems since midnight in Indonesia. My wife's mail app froze trying to load mail content and my Chrome browser asking for password even though I am already logged in. So you are not alone.
