I do not know how I did this or when. But recently I lost access to some screen files and folders. I have 2 left that work on the screen. Off to the right I can barely make out about 4 stacks that are on the edge of the screen. I can move the cursor over to the edge and they do not respond. They also do not respond to any commands in "view". When I use the 4 finger option to slide over other screens I do not see these on the other open screens. I am at a loss for what in the world is going on. I have attached a screen shot that shows what I am looking at.

Which Mac and which macOS version?

It's difficult to tell from your screen shot.

It's probably Stage Manager.

Look at the far edge of the far right and you can make it out. 2013 Mac Air Mojave

All I see is an elephant. But if it's Mojave, it's not Stage Manager.

Never mind. Oh I am embarrassed. I accidentally used a screen shot that had the edges of my stacks showing on the photo that I made my screen saver. I just now found the original photo and made it the screen saver and it cleaned up what I was seeing.
Anyhow the photo is of an elephant that was chained up the first 12 years of its life and was released and took to the water to celebrate. So here is the whole photo of the elephant underwater joyfully swimming. Never mind about the other stuff cause I am an idiot. elephant swimming .png
