Hello

Whenever I export a file from PS, it inserts a "-" in between the words.

So, for example "Image 1 Beach" is saved as "Image 1-Beach"

Not a huge problem, but I tend to save my images as "Image 1-Beach" which then becomes "Image-1---Beach". So, a right pain in the rump.

I've looked at the export settings but can't see anything that would cause this. Does anyone have any idea?

BTW I use the CC version of PS and it's bang up to date :)

Thanks, Nick

I also use PS latest CC version and I work with a lot of photos. I have never seen the issue you describe. I also never have a space in a file name but that is a leftover from my Microsoft DOS days. Sorry I have no idea why it would insert an extra "-" in the file name. You could try taking out the extra space between Image and 1???

Like Lisa I never insert any spaces in file names like that. I believe that might be the issue. I will try it here and see if I can duplicate if.

There is a setting in Photoshop to insert that - or not. I think it’s in Preferences from memory.

thanks, but I've looked through the preferences and can't find anything to suggest why this is happening :-(

I was just starting to search for his issue. Thank you for your posts! Looks like that should solve it.
