anyone know ,how many individual fibres are in the home cable that goes into the ONT box from the big bundle that is buried.....I watched some splicing videos and it looked like they were splicing 1 at a time..you have to have more than 1 fibre, no??

Nope, just one single fiber to each feed. I wired an entire college campus, one fiber to each building. The bandwidth of fiber optics is amazing!

Jake is right. When Verizon first installed fiber here only one fiber cable attaches to the ONT. However, internally throughout our home coax is used to each outlet.

Yep, although I will confess that we actually pulled two fibers to each building as a backup incase one failed for any reason (Break, crack, human error, etc.). When you are pulling something that small, you might as well pull two. Once you have the pipes in place, it just makes sense.
