hi, i was messing about with my emac and thought it would be a good idea to try upgrade the os to tiger using the disks i got with my macbook. anyway after restarting the apple sign comes up but a screen saying you need to restart the computer comes up and is covered in writing i cant remember what it says but at the end it says, panic: were dangling here or something like that, and the disk will not eject either!!
is there anyway to get the disk out + will i have to restore the panther os
thanks!!!!

Bad Idea. You can't use disks from another machine to upload an OS onto another computer. I don't know what you're warning means. But it doesn't sound good. You did back up all of your data before attempting the install right?

To get the disk out...restart the computer while holding down the mouse button.

Yup. That'll get your disk out, just don't try to install with those disks again, K? :)

Also those OSX DVD's that came with the Macbook are Intel Only. You are trying to install an Intel version of OSX on a Power PC. Can't be done. Also like was said the DVD's that come with a Mac are for that machine only or the identical machine with the same specs.
