So you use the finder for opening all the applications you use on a daily basis?

Not exactly. I start that way and periodically take my desktop back to what you see there. It gets rid of things I don't use much.

Next month I'm going to get real frisky and change the slate gray to pool-table green.

So you use the finder for opening all the applications you use on a daily basis?
I've lately had very good luck with using Spotlight to open an app. I type in the first couple of letters in the app, hit return and there it is. I don't see how it can get any more efficient, assuming you know the name of the app.
