I create a command line tool. It runs great in Xcode. How do I create an executable file and save it in applications. I really need explicit instructions. Thanks
Warren
What do you mean by "save it in applications"? Are you referring to creating an app bundle (.app) that you can double click on? If so, that's not really how command line applications work. For these types of apps, you'd create an installer package. Are you a registered developer? The method of creating installers differs depending on the answer to that question.
The easiest way would be to compile your application and put it in your PATH. Doing it this way lets you quickly open up a Terminal window and run the application without having to type out the full path. Here's an article about changing the PATH variable.
