Broken 27” screen help

My roommate decide to put his foot through my iMac which was fun.
Took tha screen off and it’s a lm270wq1 sd f1. Looking at used replacements they are $350+. My question is,does any other screen fit? There are some for less $$$ on eBay. It’s a 2011 27” iMac.

Somehow, I don't think you're going to get any non-sarcastic answers here.

You could possibly just buy a stand-alone display and connect it to and let your iMac drive it. Maybe even duct tape it to your iMac if needed. I'm sure Red-Green has done something similar if you ever watched the Canadian humour show. ;D

Your particular iMac is one of the easier models to change out the display. However, you will need a genuine replacement display either from Apple or another supplier. I suggest you check out eBay where you may be able to locate one. Also, go to www.ifixit.com and look up the instructions on how to change out the display.
