I recently purchased a MacBook Air
and installed Windows 11 with parallels
and all runs very well .
The only issue I have is when installing a
Windows program for work
All runs well during the install but upon finishing
I get the error
“An internal exception occurred (Address: 0x18eacOb)
Please, contact [email protected]. Thank you!”
Any suggestions
Thanks

Welcome to the Forum.

What Mac, what version of the macOS? If your MBA has the new M1 chipset from Apple, it cannot run Windows in a virtual machine. There is no reliable variant of Windows for the Apple Silicon systems.

But tell us more about the Mac you have, as well as what this program is that you need for work.

Apologies for not being clear…
I purchased a MacBook Air M1 and I’m running
windows 11 on ARM …
Everything runs very well in windows and is totally
working …
The said software is very specialized to my work
in the knitting industry and not known outside our field , it’s a 32 bit x86 program …
Thanks

I would suggest you follow the directions:
Please, contact [email protected]. Thank you!”

How are you running Windows 11? Is it in a virtual system like VMWare or Parallels, or are you dual booting? I don't think there is a Boot Camp for M1 systems. Last I heard MS isn't supporting Windows on M1 systems at all, and has very limited support, if any, for Windows for ARM.

The software developer may be able to help you. Specialized products can be tricky. You are trying to run a 32 bit application under emulation in a different operating system and are getting an exotic error message. It could be the app, the emulation or native to macOS.

I run Windows 11 ARM version which is a beta version using Parallels on my M1 max MBP. The full and final release has not come out - and many never but... it works really well.

Not all programs are going to run through it though but that is true of Windows 11 on a PC!
