I am creating marketing videos for the non-profit I work for and have been able to stream some of our videos, using Quicktime to screen capture the portions that I want. I have one video that only exists on DVD, though, and am running into the limitation of DVD Player going grey when any screen capture is on--I can't screen capture the portions I would like.
These are videos we own, so there is no issue with copyright.
I have looked into free DVD Software players but have found they tend to put much more on my computer than the DVD Software, and I'm concerned about having my laptop compromised.
I would appreciate any suggestions for how to get the portions of the videos I need, including other approaches that I don't know about or haven't thought of.
I hope I have described this well enough.
