The AirPods Max weren’t exactly a well-kept secret. Rumors that Apple was working on a set of high-end over-ear headphones have been making the rounds since 2018. In fact, we pretty much knew what they would look like and how they would be built. Sti...

These headphones are a bit out of my budget, but maybe someone's been extra good this year.

I've got the new Apple over-ear headphones AirPods Max, for a little more than 2 days. My initial impressions on these noise-cancelling headphones:

- The design looks incredibly nice and shows off quality craftsmanship.
- They’re big, and the ear cups fit comfortably over larger ears.
- I don’t really notice the weight that much.
- The earcups are made entirely of stainless steel (not plastic) so they can get pretty cold if outside.
- Not an audiophile but I like how they sound
- Noise cancelling is even better than the Sony WH1000
- The microphones seem pretty good
- The missing 3.5mm compatibility is irritating!!
