AirDrop: no 'Discovered' options

Yeah, a bit restrictive no go as far as iOS device go.

I guess that's why I got so frustrated with Apple's 1/2 working method and ended up using BitTorrent Sync on our Macs and iPads that I suggested previously.

I also have DropBox setup on all of them as well, and Google Drive.

Google Drive is nice in that it has a generous free capacity, but for some reason any videos sent to our iPads is a bit blurry when played, that doesn't happen when using BitTorrent Sync or DropBox.

You might want to give them a try - and forget Apple's method which won't work for what you want anyway. ;) :D

airdrop problem

I get the same AirDrop screen on my early 2009 24" iMac that bonds1972 does. It's running 10.10.2. I'm trying to transfer photos between it and my iPad Mini 3 running 8.1.3, but the two devices can't find each other.
Consequently, I've gone back to DropCopy, which does the job perfectly.
