Adding a turntable to a 5,1 Mac Pro

Well, I have purchased a Music Hall Audio USB-1 turntable and added it to my Mac. The turntable is connected via USB, my OS is 10.12.5. I use three printers and one of the printers needs some service work so I'm using the USB line and connection port of the printer for the turntable. Should I be seeing the turntable in my system report under the USB info? I don't see the turntable, I see the printers, my apple keyboard, the mouse and my webcam. Apple tech support ran me through a bunch of areas looking for the turntable and they couldn't see it either, suggested to call the mfg. I use Audacity 2.1.3 for mac that does capture the audio signal from the turntable to be digitized. I don't know if I'm hunting a ghost or if it's not even a issue, everything works like it should, just don't see it in the system report. I'm just wondering should I see the turntable or not. When you look through the USB devices in the system report is there one with a name you do not recognize. I have a USB mic and mixer connector and both show with somewhat generic names. Your post seems to suggest that the turntable is working and is recognized by Audacity. If that is the case it should show up in the Audio preference pane. I suspect it does. If so that will tell you the name to look for in the USB list.

If everything is working then it might not be worth bothering to troubleshoot but if you want to here is what I would do. Assuming that the turntable is working and recognized by Audacity the following should hep you identify its name:
1. Disconnect all USB devices. If you look at the device list now only a few things appear such as FaceTime camera, built-in mic, etc.
2. Connect only the turntable to a cable and port you know are working.It may be necessary to power it up. I've never used one.
3. Look at the USB device list again and see if there is anything new. Make sure to click the disclosure triangles.
