Iwork is an apple program. Office:Mac is a microsoft program. I wanted office so i can have full compatibility with the PC's at my University.

Canon is having a mail in rebate on the apple site. $99 off any printer with the purchase of a new mac computer. My printer was 100 so it was basically free, i just had to get the cable.

i got my macbook at compusa just because their service plan is the same price as the applecare, but compusa's service plan covers the screen/monitor but the applecare does not. i also got 2 sticks of the 1GB ram to install into the macbook. the installation was easy, so i would not recommend you going to apple and get the $500 ram upgrade unless you are very very wealthy.

ok,
Go here-http://www.macmall.com/macmall/families/new~dp~7141486~family~macbook.asp
and get the macbook, select the 29.99 lexmark printer that you can get a rebate for so its free.

Then if you want some ram go here-
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820220078
Thats some good ram for a good price.

Then if you need/want a good 7200rpm hdd I suggest this.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822146053
Getting these parts from newegg is much cheaper then from apple.

as for voiding you warranty..it doesn't I sent mine in for a small repair and it had that ram and hdd and they fixed it without a word. The one problem I did have is the discoloring on the macbook, that happen in the very first batch and is now fixed!!

I love this light fast and quiet machine. Beats out any laptop I have ever owned or seen. Also the battery life is AWESOME!!!!
