All Core 2 Duo models are 64-bit, that includes the standard MacBook and even the Mac Mini. Be aware that the "Core Duo" (as distinct from the Core 2 Duo) is not 64-Bit capable.

Here are the specs this guy gave me. Does this sound right to any of you. I just want to be sure I am getting what I pay for. He said it's a 2007 but I can't pull up any 2.5 in 2007 info. All I get is 2008.

specs given to me:
15" MacBook Pro 2.5GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Duo mobile processor with 800MHz frontside bus, 3MB shared L2 cache and 2.5GHz processor speed
4GB PC2-5300 DDR2 memory for multitasking power (2 SoDIMM slots)
Slot-loading DVD?RW/CD-RW SuperDrive with double-layer support records up to 8.5GB of data or 5 hours of video using compatible DVD+R DL and DVD-R DL media
The next-generation Intel? Core?2 Duo processor is based on the innovative Intel? Core? microarchitecture, so it runs faster and is more energy-efficient for cooler, quieter operation
15.4" widescreen TFT-LCD display with 1440 x 900 resolution

Sounds like a good deal. I do believe there was a 2.5 GHz Core 2 Duo model in 2007, so I think you'll be OK. If it's a trade, I assume you're doing this in person, no?

I just wondered b/c I have googled everything I could think of and can only find the 2008 MBP in a 2.5GHZ. He says it's a 150GB hdd which I thought sounded odd but maybe apple has a 150GBhdd. I thought they were 80,160 and so on...

If you want to be SURE it's a Core 2 Duo, Click on the Apple and on About This Mac. It should clearly say Core 2 Duo.

If it has a Core 2 Duo, it's 64-bit.
