i just bought my macbook 45 days ago

gutted, i bought my macbook about a month ago!! wish id waited now.
I just got mine SIX days ago. Thanks to everyone saying it's a minor bump in speed! Dispelled faint wave of depression. :)

Rule #1 when buying hardware you want to love and cherish for a long time: never look back. As soon as you buy something, a month later something newer, faster, sleeker, and better comes along. You'll just end up making yourself depressed if you keep track of the updates!
Lol, that's hard avoid when everyone around here is pointing them out! ;D

Hehe...just remember, it's a very, very minor bump in speed. Not even worth upgrading to unless you currently don't have a MacBook.

Well, I've been holding out to buy my first Mac (MacBook) since Feb. I'm waiting for Santa Rosa, since it has a considerable bump in gpu specs. This is disappointing. If nothing is updated at the next event, I may just get the new Lenovo and run Ubuntu.

They just posted new Macbooks at faster speeds, from 2.0 GHz to 2.16 GHz, with 1Gb of memory standard for all models.

The upper white model also has a 120gb instead of 80gb base. Not an overwhelming upgrade but along the lines of what I was expecting. Saves me some money since I'm buying my sisters macbook for college and was going to put in a 120 gb hard drive

Call up apple, you have 21 days that you can return it and they will gladly help you out in getting you the newer model. I have had it twice where a new revision has come out after I purchased it and both times it was simple to get the newer model (4g iPod, and the newest versions of the iMac)

The thing is I bought it from Macconnection, I dont know how they handle these kinds of things. I just sent them an email to see there stance on exchange it. I mean my macbook still has the right out the box smell. lol

Didn't they also upgrade the hard drive in the base model to 80GB?

I bought my Macbook about 3 weeks ago. I wonder if I'll be able to exchange it.
