that's lovely and sharp. What lens did you use?

Nikon D500? How are you finding it?

Hmm, would have lusted over a D500 a few short months ago - is it every bit as good it claims to be?

For myself, I'm still using the Sony NEX, but I've discovered old Soviet era Tessar / Sonnar copy lenses (the Russians overran the German factories during WW2 and started turning out their own versions) -

Thanks for your positive comment. The lens I used was nikkor 500mm f4 VR + 1.4 tc. I found the camera quite difficult to set up. It is quite unforgiving of sloppy technique ............................................................ but as a successor to the Dino300, well worth the long wait.

I love pentax cameras and have since my old film ME.

It was taken down by the River Medway in Kent, England, not far from where we live.
I know it looks nice (because with a camera you have plenty of artistic licence), but that part of the river is a graveyard for derelict barges and broken up boats, and once the tide has gone out the stinky mud is the most prominent feature.

Here's a recent shot from further down the river, with the tide out...
