OK, so after some heavy re-working I've started to update my site with more content. So far all that has been finished is the homepage and a few other pages.

It'd be greatly appreciated if you guys could check it out, w.dstopsky.com (outdated link removed), and let me know what you think. Suggestions are more than welcomed. Thanks a lot.

David-- looks great!

What program are you using to create your photo gallery?

Thanks a lot. Right now I'm using photoshop, but i haven't been too happy with the output because I have to go through every page and rewrite them in order to get the same look as the homepage (there's a few thousand pages unfortunately). It'd be nice if you could use your own template with it so right now I'm looking elsewhere. I was trialling Gallery2 but I think it's just too plain and doesn't offer enough customisation. Anyone have any suggestions?

Unfortunately the best way to go for that is to do it yourself, in my case I went towards using PHP and MySQL; with the whole look mostly determined by a CSS stylesheet. That means I can add any content I like (see the portfolio at tp://www.lilserenity.com(outdated link removed) -- my website) and if/when the design of the site changes it only requires minimal tweaks from the display script.

Otherwise I don't know of many good gallery things, I looked at a few but all with the same problems that lead me to doing a custom one.

WickedSkateFooty

Check out my website, w.wickedskatefooty.com (outdated link removed) It's a skateboard website that I made with my friends, I just revamped the whole site, thus negating my previous post... Anyways, I changed all the colors and made it very 'bright' and new-age from what I have been told. So please tell me if you like it or not. Also I don't know if I worked all the kinks out for every browser so if you find some MONSTEROUS error please pleas tell me.

thanks

I just finished converting my site over to ExpressionEngine to Wordpress and I totally redesigned it basing it off the K2 theme.

Take a look (outdated link removed) and let me know what you think.

Just wanted to add that it's all done in RapidWeaver. I know next to nothing about web publishing and such, and it's a great tool that produces great looking webpages which are easy to update and manage.

I already posted about my website in the switchers' freeware thread, but I thought some non-switchers might be interested as well. I've noticed lots of forum topics where people post their favourite freeware, so I figured why not a site devoted to the topic. The link is in my sig. Have a look and tell me what you think. I'm open to any kind of suggestion for improvement.

Recently started to update my site again; in a bid to push me to update it more often and actually start writing up some articles.

The overhaul isn't complete yet and it is due to move to another server at some point (a Mac based one) soon; so some of the links don't work or in the case of the photo albums; the album pages will look severely screwed up as they haven't changed since the last version of the site—though they still function.

tp://www.lilserenity.com (outdated link removed) as ever.

I am to put up a lot more Mac based content, watch this space :flower:

My New Look Portfolio Website

Hey guys,

I have recently re-designed my university portfolio website.

I think the new design is a whole lot better than my old site and shows the progression of my skills since I started university.

See what you think:

New Portfolio Site (outdated link removed)

Regards,

Chris. :mac:
