What is a good macOS native web IDE? I've tried Sparkle and Flux. They are both good for WYSIWYG. Is there a good macOS native code editor? I know of many cross-platform ones, but I was wondering specifically about macOS native.

I tried out BBEdit and ended up buying a license for it. I was impressed.

Textwrangler ( i believe its part of BBEdit ) and if you happy with using a localhost for preview on your work Sublime text to me is the best.

Textwrangler.app, a great text editor app that I've used for years after BBEdit got to be too expensive and overkill for my needs.

But I did get an email or notice not long ago that it was being dropped and no longer supported or some such thing.

Anyway, I'm sure their site would have all the details. But a great free little brother version it is for my small use, supported or not.

I didn't realize the "upgrade" or switch from Textwrangler to BBEdit had a free version available — neat. Back to where I used to be many teats ago: ;)

We have sunsetted TextWrangler, and we encourage anyone interested in TextWrangler to download and use BBEdit instead.
Do I have to pay to use BBEdit?

No. You can use BBEdit without purchasing a license, in the same way you’ve been using TextWrangler (yes, for free). If you want BBEdit’s complete feature set (web authoring tools, and other exclusive features), you can purchase a license any time you like.

PS: Thanks for the info about Atom.app. It looks interesting for those that could use it.

Atom from Github. For basic html coding, DreamWaver is a nice option.

Dreamweaver and sublime can obviously not be compared to eachother , im not dogging in dw its great for what it was meant to do , but the workflow and sublimes ability to understand pphp and a multiple range of other languages is awesome. Sure it doesnt have a live view ( thats what you have local hosts for right ? _) ...

Anyway i just wanted to know in terms of atom and sublime at first glance they seem very similar , what are the main diffrences?

I actually since i last posted this got into using bracket , it really sees like a great ide, and its free unlike sublime. It also allows for extensions which really can allow you to make the ide your own , to your own preferences , however this does seem a little good to be true . I have only used it for little over a day now so i have not come across everything in it yet , anybody know the cons of bracket ?

I use sublime text. XCode is better if you copy and paste code (as the codecstays in the correct format!)

Do text editors qualify? (does that answer your question?)
