Need more information.

If you purchased Mavericks, you can access this through the App Store, Purchases, download another copy and burn to a thumb drive via DiskMaker. Boot from theb Thumb Drive and erase the hard drive and proceed with mavericks Installer.

If Mavericks was on the computer brand new, do you have everything backed up via cloning software to an external DVD? The problem is unless you purchased Mavericks it has been removed from the App Store.

Why go back? If you are having problems and own a notebook, did you do an erase and clean install which is the preferred option, or simply upgrade? You can see the more information you supply the easier it is too answer your question.
