if I had to choose to start with a fresh email address right now I would do yahoo for the push email on my iPhone. I am sure GMail will sort out their POP and possibly have a push service in the future.

GMail. Free, lots of space. About a month ago I decided I needed an account with my name in it ([email protected], pretty standard). Sent an invite (not that you need them anymore) to my other email account on .Mac and then made a new one. All of my mail gets thrown into Mail.app for me anyways.

I guess the reason I've stayed w/ Yahoo is b/c they don't scan/read your e-mail (computer or otherwise), not to mention I like the look/feel of Yahoo over Gmail...

Gmail all the way for me. I use my ISP email for people I don't like, such as teachers and annoying idiots.

yahoo currently, but im getting a fair bit of spam through it.
it does get filtered through to bulk file very well but still a bit annoying.

and from what i can work out,
i cant access it through Mail unless i get the premium account.

will probably go over to Gmail when i get around to it, which i belive can be read through Mail with regular account...

I like Gmail better than Yahoo. Gmail does a better job of sending the spam mail to the spam folder. I've been getting lots of spam mails on Yahoo; so annoying.

Not to mention, you have to pay for Yahoo if you want to use it with a 3rd Party Mail client.

I've got a .Mac, Yahoo, SBC Yahoo, and a Gmail account.
I like them all fine I use primarily .Mac and feed everything into the Mail App. to keep everything nice and tidy. Works like a champ!

I used to use www.e-garfield.com for me email. It was awesome but it died so now I have to use another. And for me Gmail is good. It just works. And I've even got my msn account worked out so it ends in *.gmail.com So I don't have to worry about hotmail ever.

And Yeah I prefer a web based email thing. As I don't really understand the POP3 email and the rest of it. I just like something that is easy to use and works. And Gmail does that.

No way! I thought I was the only e-garfield user! Welcome, brother. :D ;)I was sad to see them go, even with the 25 MB mail box, it was just so cool!

As my replacement, I choose

http://www.30gigs.com

I love it, even if it's not e-garfield :(

And yeah, Gmail scares me.

Gmail Rocks!

Very easy to use, great storage space (well not 30GB) but still awesome. And setting it up to work with the mail.app on my MacBook was a breath.. Very organized and simple.

Simply Rocks!
