yahoo and skype help!

I got this problem with yahoo and skype could someone helps me plz. Everytime i tried to use skype or yahoo to make a VoIP call, the application quit unexpected. But before i upgraded my Mac Book Pro to 10.5.4 everything run smoothly, is that because I installed yahoo and skype before I upgrade or my MBP has some problem. I just bought it around 2-3 days before .. This is "supper" annoying cause i want to talk with my GF and everytime I sign out and didn't say anything she started to think I'm doing "something".

Plz help me fast..

Have you checked for updates to Skype and Yahoo? Can't think of much, sorry.
