SanDisk Micro Cruzer's are nice because the USB dongle retracts into the thumbdrive

target has imation ones that are very small and set into a rubberized holder/carrier that has a large hole in it and a caribiner. so they're very durable and water resistant when the drive is seated in the carrier.

I have one of these stainless steel Lexar thumb drives. Have had it on my keychain for almost 2 years and it's still in excellent shape. Has survived being completely submerged in water on at least one occasion. Highly recommended.

not sure some of these are going to meet the durable and keychainable requirements.
The OCZ Rally 1GB (older version) held out through some pretty tough situations. It has a strong enclosure.

I took the plastic case off and covered the whole thing in hot glue. Now its waterproof and can take a **** of a beating.
