If the tv doesn't have a dvi port, you'll need a dvi to vga adapter, then a vga cable going to the tv. Most lcd's have that port. I think you can also go with a dvi to hdmi adapter but I have no experience with that.

I have a mini as a htpc hooked up via dvi to vga and get a great picture (standard dvd's look better than from my dvd player connected via component cables). Some tv's will only support certain screen resolutions. With my old crappy Vizio, it didn't matter. However, with my much more expensive Samsung, sometimes the software updates and restart makes it go into an unsupported screen resolution. Then I just do a screen sharing from my laptop and reconfigure.

I just picked up a nice Sharp Panel. It's 1080p and has 3 HDMI ports, so far its looking like a great set.

If you got a TV with HDMI, just pick up a DVI to HDMI cable and that'll do the trick.

Seems like a great looking tv a little to much though $800 is the cheapest I see. Im thinking I can live with a 32" still looking for the best deal though! (saw a vizio 42" for 600.......)

I can't recommend Vizio. It died a month out of warranty. After some internet research, it's a common problem with them. With mine, the picture went out. It'd power up with sound but nothing on the screen. When it was working, it was ok picture quality. The samsung is droolworthy with 1080 hd - a very noticeable difference than the Vizio.

Yeah that will work :) just use the vga instead of the HDMI. I used the DVI to HDMI adapter and couldnt get the resolution just right. Why akai? I hope it works out for you

They have a DVI to HDMI cable that you could hook up to the LCD.
The best route would be to use a DVI to VGA adapter and use your basic VGA cable for the LCD.

You should get a decent resolution and its plug and play.

Hope that helps
