Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I have definitely heard of the refurb store, I actually check it all the time =]

I guess I was just looking for cheaper than that, or maybe with some accessories. But I haven't gotten any offers, so I'm considering refurb.

Do the refurbs come in original packaging? Do they show any signs of use?

They don't come in original packaging. They come in a plain cardboard box. They don't show any signs of abuse.

Carboard packaging and they are effectively new. New front and backplate like new. flawless...

if you dont want to pay refurb prices your best bet is going to be ebay or craigslist.

+1 for craigslist, but obviously, be careful, and make sure you thoroughly test electronics before forking over the dough. Depends on your area, though. Back home, the craiglist community is really active, but down here, good luck even getting a used couch ...

IMO, unless it's a significant savings, it's better to get something with a warranty.

I wouldn't purchase anything expensive on craigslist. You could end up with a POS, no money, and no recourse.
eBay works too. But if you want something new, refurb is the cheapest.
