Simple question with complex answer, at least that's what i think: Is Leopard worth buying as an upgrade from Tiger? Like will it detract from performance over Tiger?

If the features of Leopard sound good to you, then it's worth it. If not, then it's not.

This question is really an individual decision so it would be impossible for anyone to give you a definitive answer. For me, I think it's worth it. Others don't think so.

So the real question is, do you feel the features in Leopard are important to you?

One of the main features is Time Machine. If you do a lot of work and constantly save and delete projects, then Time Machine could be for you. Also, if you open a lot of windows and do lots of "stuff", spaces could help you keep organized.

It will be worth buying at some point, just as it's worth having Tiger over Panther.

Whether it's worth getting straight away or in a couple of years is up to you, but it will worth getting sometime.

Here is a questions for you.. Is tiger fitting your needs well?

in my case Il be using tiger for a wile. Its doing an amazing job for me. But I know il have to upgrade sooner or later because over time application upgrades wont be available for it and it will be outdated.

Same thing with PC users, XP is doing a good job but sooner or later they will need to upgrade to Vista

Plus I feel more comfortable not jumping on new OS right away. I learned it with XP and 10.2 way back when Let the other people suffer with all the glitches and bugs and get it when its amazing

I am going to give it a few months and see how it is doing before I upgrade.

Like schweb said, it's a very individual decision. I like leopard and will buy it. You might not.
